Contains Povidone-Iodine USP 1%. It belongs to a class of antiseptics known as lodophores. It is a fast acting broad spectrum antiseptic that kills gram positive and gram negative bacteria (including antibiotic resistant organisms), as well as fungi/yeast, viruses, and protozoa.
For the relief of infections and inflammations of pharynx and mouth Blood, pus, or bile does not affect Betasept activity
Use the Betasept undiluted or diluted with an equal volume of lukewarm water every 2 - 4 hours. Gargle at least for 30 seconds.
